Aren't they just beautiful?!? I can never stress enough how much I love aprons. They are just so great.  I have been really working hard on these the past couple weeks to have them done by Memorial weekend. Last weekend they were all I worked on. It turned out to be great since it rained all weekend. But boy oh boy did I have one sore back.

I keep having orders coming in all the time. This little side business has turned into something great! Thanks to everyone so far that has ordered. I really appreciate it.  Although my poor husband is probably not so thrilled. Oh well he will get over it...ha. It seems like sewing/quilting becomes my no. 1 priority and cleaning, cooking and ect just kinda gets put on the back burner. For all who sew or quilt you know exactly what I mean :)

Also another great highlight of my week was I picked up a tons of great buttons. JoAnne's was having a sale and I totally to advantage of it :) I am stocked up for awhile in that department!!

Well anyways I will stop with the jibber jabbing and let you take a look at these aprons. I had so much fun taking pictures outside. Enjoy!!

No clothes line so I guess a tree will do.

Let me know if you are needing to get your hands on one of these. I could definitely arrange it :)

Rainy Days....

I like everyone else is so sick of the rainy cold weather but, this weekend I somewhat enjoyed it. I sewed all day Saturday and Sunday while it rained out. It was a very productive weekend. I got about six aprons done and started on another two. It feels really good to have a huge order done :)

Also quilt market was a week ago or so and I have really enjoyed seeing all of the new fabric and great ideas/patterns on everyones blogs that I follow. My favorite is always MODA!!! I am totally loving Ruby by Bonnie & Camille.

I guess sewing wasn't the only thing I did. I also enjoyed watching a couple movies with my husband. Its been awhile since we just cuddled on the couch and watched a movie together. Usually I am either cutting fabric or doing other things instead of just relaxing. Also I made some AMAZING!! Cranberry-Banana Bread. Its delish!!! So good I want to share the recipe. Super easy and its healthy and Weight Watchers approved :)

Cranberry-Banana Bread

1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
3 Tbsp canola oil
1/2 cup fat-free egg substitute
3 medium bananas, ripe, peeled and mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
1/2 cup cranberries, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9x5 inch pan with cooking spray.

In medium bowl, combine both flours, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; set aside.

In a large bowl, beat sugar and oil with mixer at medium speed until sugar begins to dissolve, about 2 minutes.

Beat in egg substitute and mashed bananas. Stir in flour mixture and cranberries.

Pour batter into prepared loaf pan; smooth top. Bake until browned (a toothpick inserted into center of bread should come out with a few moist crumbs) about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Place pan on wire rack to cool about 10 minutes; then turn loaf out of pan to continue cooling on rack.

Slice loaf and enjoy :)

I will be posting plenty of pictures soon of aprons I just finished. Stay tuned!

FUNtastic Weekend

Another amazing weekend has come and gone.

My weekend started off with sewing some apron orders. I have been making way on them pretty quickly. Which makes me very happy :) Yesterday my mom came up and we went to some garage sales. We found some pretty great "treasures" as my mom calls them. I found a couple things that I am totally in love with....

Aren't these glasses oh so adorable...I love their strawberry sweetness!

and I found this towel. It is exactly how we live life and we are completely happy :)
Totally love this!!

Today we finally had a beautiful day. Where there was very little wind, the sun was shinning and the temp was finally warm. I spent time doing another one of my hobbies other than sewing and quilting which is flowers and gardening. I defiantly learned that from my mother. She has a green thumb. Hopefully its genetic :)

I got all of my flowers planted in my flowerbed and my pots. I have some rime and reason as far as to what I plant. I have planted flowers for certain reasons and for certain people. I have Sedum and Ferns that my mom passed onto me that were from my Grandma Haga and I also planted for Matt a few Dahlia's for his Grandma Benson. These to beautiful amazing women are no longer with us. It brings comfort and happiness to our souls to remember them. I also planted some Geraniums which I always remember my Grandma Howe always having and also Wave Petunias that are my dads favorite. Just a fun thing I love to do.

Along with many other flowers I planted. I also am trying my luck with planting tomatoes, cucumbers, banana peppers, lettuce and I have planted my very first Herb garden. Chives, Cilantro, Parsley and Basil. So much fun!!

Matt, my mom and I got our yard looking awesome for summer and did some spring cleaning. My mom also cleaned the outside windows too! Have I told you that I have amazing people in my life. My husband is my rock and my mom is my super hero! Thanks guys for your help. Now we just need some warm weather and it will be perfect.

Have a happy week!!
